DURING the Bundaberg Tennis International last month, I had the opportunity to talk to Olivia Rogowska, a 21-year-old player from Melbourne.

Olivia is ranked 158 in the world, is Australiaas 4th ranked female player and was the womenas number one seed in Bundaberg.

Q: What age did you first pick up at tennis racquet?

A: At four years old playing with dad; I started to take it seriously by the time I was 10, when I first started coaching.

Q: How many hours would you spend on the practice court?

A: During a training block, which I have at the start of the year and between tournaments I would spend two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon on court, every day. I also include alternate days of either a gym session or a run.

Q: If you were not playing tennis what would you be doing?

A: I love photography, so something using multimedia.
