A BRAZEN bike thief asked a salesman to let him hear the sound of a motorbike revving before he calmly rode it away.

Itas the latest in a series of bike robberies at Top Gun Yamaha on Brisbane Rd at Bundamba.

The latest target was a black 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa a or GSX1300R a acclaimed as the world's fastest production motorcycle, with a top speed of about 310kmh.

aThatas seven in the past nine months and three of those have been in broad daylight,a Top Gun Yamaha owner Des Court said.

aThey said they wanted to hear the sound of the bike running and so the salesman started it up. Heas only been here a week; the others know if someone gets on the bike to turn the engine off.

aBut to sneak away in broad daylight with no helmet on is pretty brazen.

aItas a used bike but we had it on sale for $15,000. …
