THE world is returning to normal today as Whiporie-based creators of dirtgirlworld contemplate their Emmy award.

Cate McQuillen and Hewey Eustace will be bubbling with winning euphoria as they attend rounds of meetings with digital entertainment executives after receiving their International Digital Emmy for Children and Young People in Cannes on Monday night.

aWe didnat know how we were going to do when we came over, so we thought it would be a good idea to organise meetings for Wednesday with company executives,a Cate said.

Cate and Hewey received their Emmy at a packed Martinez Hotel in the French resort city from one of their childhood heroes, KISS bass guitar player and singer Gene Simmons.

aIt was so rock and roll, accepting the statue from someone Iad admired so much as a kid,a Cate said.

Although their chaotic Monday ended in triumph, , they were not confident as they saw their opposition. …
