DESPITE a 62-0 drubbing against Lennox Head in their first game of the season, the Casino Bulls wonat be throwing in the towel anytime soon.

New coach Joe Mohammed believes his young team can turn things around as soon as this weekend against the Southern Cross University Gold Rats at Maurie Ryan Oval, Lismore.

aI had a heap of young blokes playing on the weekend and we were a bit short,a Mohammed said.

aWe spoke about it at training and no one is down or giving up.

aWe set a goal at the start of the year to win five of our first eight and we can obviously still do that.a

Mohammed is in his 20th year at the club and said he might put the boots back on with the club struggling for numbers. They donat have a second grade team but are hopeful of scraping some more players together for the smaller Presidentas Cup competition.

The Bulls still have plenty of talent in their first grade side including prop Craig Connolly, flanker Carl Tahutu, No 8 Ben Osbourne and halfback Stephen Murchie. …
