AFTER three gruelling months of auditions and rehearsals, Byron Bayas Wade Smith is set to appear in Monday nightas blind audition of The Voice on Channel 9 at 7pm.

Throughout the process the Year 12 Xavier College student had some expert guidance from Australian showbiz legend Barry Crocker, who happens to be his great-grandfather.

aHe has been really supportive and gave me some good advice about breathing techniques,a Wade said.

aHe also told me how important it was to be persistent in overcoming obstacles when youare pursuing a career in show business.a

Wadeas mother, Camilla Moon, said she will be over the moon when she sees her son perform on Mondayas show.

A single mum, Camilla works two jobs to support Wade and his sister Amber,who is also a talented singer.

aHe has worked really hard and his passion has shone through,a Ms Moon said.
