OFFICIALS say they are delighted at the C[pounds sterling]awesomeC[yen] pool of Far North Coast rugby union talent continuing to emerge.

Talented players from across the region showed their skills as part of the FNC secondary schools sevens carnival on Thursday.

LismoreCOs St JohnCOs College Woodlawn and CasinoCOs St MaryCOs Catholic College enjoyed success on the day, with their teams triumphing in the boys and girls events.

Australian Rugby Union North Coast development manager Bruce Frame said the carnival, which took place at Woodlawn and featured more than 30 schools from across the region, had underlined the abilities of up-and-coming players.
