DODDS (Newbiggin-by-the-Sea). Holmcroft. Peacefully in hospital on 14th April, aged 76 years, Doreen (nee Patterson), a loving wife of Eddie, a much loved mam of Carole, Wendy and the late Eddie and mother-in-law to Steve, a proud and loving nana to John and partner Jane, Michael and wife Carli and Georgina and Edward, great nana to Brad, Molly, Perry, Finlay, Maicie and Robbie. Funeral Service to take place in St. Bartholomew's Church, Newbiggin on Monday 22nd April at 1.00pm, followed by interment at Woodhorn Cemetery. Would friends please meet at church.

EGLON (Rowlands Gill). Orchard Avenue. Suddenly on 9th April 2013, aged 73 years, Brian, beloved husband and best friend of Helen (nee Johnson), brother of Alan, loving uncle of Margaret, Lorraine, John and Brian, great uncle of Laura, Kelly, Martin and Olivia. Cortege to meet on Wednesday 24th April for Funeral Service at St. Patrick's Parish Church, High Spen at 12.15pm, followed by cremation at Mountsett Crematorium at 1.15pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu with a collection at the Community Centre for the Diabetes Association. All welcome afterwards to Rowlands Gill Community Centre. GRIEVE (Stakeford). Formerly of Ashington. Peacefully in hospital on 12th April, aged 97 years, Mary, dearly loved wife of the late Tom, beloved mother of Anne, Jim and the late Michael. She will be missed by her grandchildren Jane, David and Lucy and her great grandchildren Sarah, James and George. Private cremation to be followed by Thanksgiving Service at Stakeford Methodist Church on Wednesday 24th April at 11.00am.
