RUGBY LEAGUE: Central Queensland schoolboy Reuben Cotter is hoping to lead his under-15 Capricornia squad to victory this week, when the side heads to the School Rugby League State Championships.

CQCOs best young rugby league players will travel to Wynumm today to take on teams from around the state and with captain Cotter at the helm they are sure to perform well.

Having only just come together as a side over the weekend, Cotter said the team had trained well so far, and was looking strong for the titles which kick off tomorrow.

C[pounds sterling]I think weCOve gelled pretty well considering weCOve come from all over the Capricornia region and weCOve only had about four days to train together,C[yen] Cotter said.

The youngster said he felt privileged to be named as skipper after a history of representative footy in both Capricornia and CQ NRL Bid sides and was looking forward to building his rugby league experience.
