LEADERS Whitehill are still five points clear at the topdespite a shock 3-2 defeat to Ebchester Reserves.

Ebchester started well and took the lead from a deflected header.

They quickly added a second through Lee Peacock.

Whitehill came back into the game and pulled one back through Sheridan''s free-kick.

They equalised just before half-time, a good finish from Embleton finding the bottom corner.

On the restart, Ebchester took the lead again through Peacock.

Whitehill levelled again courtesy of a coolly-converted penalty from Healer.

The leaders then pressed hard to find the winner and left gaps at the back. In the last minute of added time Ebchester exploited this with a counter-attack, Richy Parkin going past two defenders and finding Stuart McKenna who showed great composure to score.

Gateshead Leam Rangers and Wheatley Hill drew 1-1. In an even first half, both teams missed chances.

Early in the second period Hill''s goalkeeper misjudged a looping cross to drop at the feet of Liam Craig, who coolly notched from close range. …
