QI hear generally itas good to stay away from sugars and in particular sugary foods especially in the afternoon/evening. Does this also apply to the natural sugars from fruit?

Hi Miles, yes, sugars

are basically aempty caloriesa, the same as alcohol a meaning they are pure calories without any nutritional value.

Now brown or raw sugars do contain some minerals while blackstrap molasses has a high number of health benefits, minerals and vitamins.

But saying that, sugar is something the body doesnat really need if vegetables or fruits are eaten at all.

Towards the end of the day people say itas harder to burn calories as we become slightly less active a so thatas one idea towards not having sugar or high caloric foods at the end of the day a itas easier to put on weight.
