CENTRAL Football Club has scored an important 2-1 win over the Bluebirds over the weekend.

Sitting behind the Bluebirds by three points before the clash, Central now move even with the Rockhampton side on points, but still sit behind in fifth place on goal difference.

The game was locked for the entire first half, each team holding the other scoreless.

This was somewhat of a surprise, as the game began at a frantic pace and did not relent, threatening to open up and promising goals from the outset.
