UNITED Warriors coach Peter Guest is backing his players to get out of the slump that has plagued them the past three weeks, but insists it is up to them to take more responsibility.

The Warriors suffered their fourth loss in the past five games on Saturday night, losing to a well-drilled Gympie Diggers 4-0 in Hervey Bay.

It was the Warriorsa biggest loss in the Four Cities League since their embarrassing 7-1 defeat to Brothers Aston Villa in round two and leaves their finals aspirations dangling on a string.

With matches against four teams outside the top four favouring the Warriors in the run home to the finals, there is still some hope, but Guest was adamant they had a long way to go before they could start thinking after playing in the finals.
