EVEN at age 85, Ken Perris makes a mighty cheeky student.

The Buderim man just started learning the piano, and already he has his sights set on being a rock star. Well not quite a rock star a but he does have hopes of one day playing for other people to spread the joy of music.

The Immanuel Gardens resident, who will turn 86 next week, took up his new-found love of piano to prove itas never too late to learn a new skill.

The decision to go to his first piano lesson was more than 20 years in the making.
