ROHAN Bewick has got forward pocket-specialist blood running through his veins.

Part of a abig football familya in Perth, his uncle Darren Bewick was the ultimate goalsneak who played 238 games and booted 332 goals for Essendon, and a member of its 1993 and 2000 premiership sides.

Rohan, 23, has the front running on the small forward position in the Brisbane Lionsa attack and says he learnt much from his uncle.

aYou try and mould your game on the best and, as far as crumbing forwards go, Darren was one of the best,a he said.

After debuting in 2011, Bewick has played all 10 games (for a total of 38) and kicked 11 goals so far this year, with a best haul of three against Carlton in round nine.

But he said he believed he still had work to do to ahold my spota.

aCertainly I feel more comfortable out there, but I still feel pressure each week to perform,a he said. …
