YOUNG Rockhampton BMX star Jack Weise is ready to show the world what he has got next month, as he jets to New Zealand to compete in the World BMX Titles.

Weise and fellow Rockhampton BMX riders Erin Rook and Anaya Whitehead, have been selected to pull on the green and gold for Australia at the world titles, in Auckland, from July 24-28, following an impressive performance at the recent nationals.

Training at Rockhampton BMX track recently, seven-year-old Weise said he was feeling pretty nervous heading into the competition but, reflecting on his Australian titles results, he was confident he would perform well at the world event.

C[pounds sterling]I came first in a few motos and, overall, I came ninth fastest in Australia.

While he has travelled overseas before, Weise said he was not sure what to expect riding in NZ against competitors from around the globe. …
