Inman Urged to Stick with Toon; Pards Wants Youngster to Prove His Worth

NEWCASTLE United are hoping that young gun Brad Inman will agree to stay at the club next season.

The Magpies have offered the Aussie a one-year contract after he showed real signs of progress last season.

United tied up deals for Paul Dummett, Conor Newton and Michael Richardson this week and were hoping that Inman would follow suit.

The 21-year-old has been considering his options over the summer with Crewe Alexandra keen on signing the attacking midfielder.

However, Alan Pardew wants Inman to commit his short-term future and give him the opportunity to impress in preseason before being able to assess his next step.

Should Inman sign on, United could farm him out to a Championship side in the first half of the season.

That is certainly the plan for Dummett, Newton and Richardson.

Yet all of them will get the opportunity to show just how much progress they are making - and under the watchful eye of Pardew and his backroom staff. …
