BOB Bryant says he doesnCOt have any secrets to living a long and healthy life.

But if you spent 10 minutes with him you might be led to believe it has something to do with music.

Bob, who turned 100 yesterday, spent the day surrounded by his family, friends and other residents at the Northview Aged Care Centre, serenading them.

His favourite song to sing is When I Grow Too Old to Dream, and he doesnCOt miss a beat.

Bob has lived in Mackay for all of his 100 years.

The fisherman, who was raised amid the sand dunes of Town Beach, has never been on a plane.

C[pounds sterling]I used to yodel of a night-time and go into the scrub chasing crabs, and go out fishing all night,C[yen] he said.

The father of 14 children considers the Pioneer River his true home.

He raised 10 of his children in a tin shack with no power and a dirt floor on the river before the council C[pounds sterling]flexed their muscleC[yen] and forced the family to move into town. …
