ANY lingering disappointment in WIN Stadium from the basketball Friday night evaporated as the Rum City Derby Dolls staged a stunning comeback against the Cap Coast Derby Dolls at the weekend.

Trailing late in the bout and with time running out the youngest member of the team shouldered the responsibility to give the fans what they wanted a a Rum City Win

Annie aPee Wee Pikaa Marsh used her speed and agility to earn 21 points for her team in the last minute to win the bout 162 to 154 to bring the crowd alive.

One of the spectators to feel the emotion of the bout was Bundaberg Basketballas Kerri aK-Bouncea Savidge who was rink side with a tear in her eye when the win was confirmed.

The win in the heat gave the Derby Dolls another bout in front of their home fans in the final but they lost 284-205 to the Coastal Assassins. …
