MRS D Harris, of Park End, Middlesbrough, has sent us these pictures of her Uncle Barry and Aunt Dorothy (nee Graham) Hainsworth now live in New Zealand. Dorothy is pictured on the occasion of her 21st birthday. One of five children, she was originally from Dionsyia Road, North Ormesby, before emigrating to Oaklands, New Zealand, and she still has fond memories of Middlesbrough. There is also a picture of Mrs Harris's mum, Margaret Colley (nee Graham), in Pallister Park. She was born in 1938 and Mrs Harris thinks she would have been around 21 or 22 in this photo. The handsome man in a fireman's uniform is Mrs Harris' grandad, George Graham, born to George Henry Graham and Louisa (nee Johnson) at 76 Telford Street.

He married Dorothy Jane Hatfield in 1934.

The main picture above is of George's dad, George Henry, who moved to Middlesbrough from Monk Bretton with his brother John, and Uncle Benjamin, who lived Over the Border.

John and George Graham lived in Linthorpe, moving here for work, and Mrs Harris would love to know who the other men are in the photograph. …
