FOLLOWING his latest 5-2 win over Hartlepool's Ryan Clark, Washington's David Lilley moved up the Lumley Moor Premier League table to join Skelton's Ritchie Beckham in joint third place with 14 points.

In the scrappy low-scoring opener, Clark was first off the mark with two reds and a black.

However, that was his only contribution in the frame after Lilley hit back with three small runs of 12, 19 and 20 to sew up the frame 64-9. After failing to pot a ball in the next frame, which Lilley won 69-0 with two scoring visits of 26 and 42, Clark came from behind to take the third 73-43 (28) with a late break of 63.

Not to be outdone, Lilley demonstrated his potting and positional skills by winning the next 84-6 with a wellconstructed 83 to go into the interval 3-1 in front.

The two frames after the interval both went the way of the Wearside player.

He wrapped up the fifth 64-13 without making a break of more than 20 and the sixth 84-7 with two winning breaks of 20 and 64. …
