THE family of Paul Gascoigne have made a heartfelt plea for him to give up the booze forever.

Gazza, 46, was taken to a London hospital following an all-day bender.

Reports suggest he had a bottle of gin in each pocket of his shorts as he fell unconscious outside the Royal National Hotel in Russell Square.

His worried nephew Jay Kerrigan told how the England legend came home to Tyneside six weeks ago - while making a documentary with model Katie Price. He brought food as a birthday treat for Jay's sister Harley, who had just turned 18.

But the first Jay and his mum - Gazza's sister Anna Marie - knew about his famous uncle's collapse due to alcoholism was in the press.

He said: "I had to tell my mum about the entire thing. I know Paul will come and see us when he is well again. It could be a few weeks, it could be in the next few days. …
