I WOULD like to comment regarding the controversial issues of the Syrian conflict.

I wholeheartedly agree with many that people who used chemical weapons and killed and injured many innocent people including parents, grandparents, young people and children in Syria, should be punished and held accountable to the international community. However I do not agree with any form of violent or military intervention.

People I am speaking to from all walks of life, black and minority communities Muslims, non-Muslims and mainstream colleagues also appear to be not supporting any military action.

They feel there should be an alternative solution to this conflict, i.e. supporting the innocent victims, working with the opposition parties in Syria and putting pressure on the Government to exchange dialogue and consider an amicable and satisfactory outcome. I believe military intervention would not only destroy the country and the resources but it would kill hundreds and thousands of innocent families and children. …
