Paltrow 'Asks Friends to Boycott Vanity Fair'

GWYNETH PALTROW has reportedly gone into battle with Vanity Fair after asking her celebrity friends to boycott the magazine.

The 40-year-old actress is said to be unhappy at the publication's shift in editorial style and its plans to write an expose on her. Vanity Fair has recently taken a tougher approach to the celebrities it once coveted, including a July cover story on the production issues surrounding Brad Pitt's zombie movie World War Z. Last October it ruffled feathers with an in-depth article on Scientology's role in Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes's marriage.

According to reports in the US, Paltrow wrote in an email to friends: "Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of the magazine. If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again."

The planned article was said to be a thorough review of her character, business practices and tendency to polarise opinion. …
