INTERNATIONAL software firm Performance Horizon Group is celebrating stunning success at the second annual South Tyneside Business Awards after being named Business of the Year.

The award is recognition of the South Shields-based firm's incredibly fast expansion in online performance marketing that within just three years has seen it establish a world-wide reputation and presence second to none in its very specialist field.

Its success is based on the development of its ExactView online software platform, which allows companies - many household name international brands - to monitor their online marketing activities in real time, adding immense value to their business.

ExactView has propelled PHG to the very forefront of its sector and its worldwide reach - as well as South Shields, it has staffed offices in London, New York, Baltimore, Sydney and India - is unparalleled.

Despite also being deployed by its clients in around 45 countries, with staff who speak 24 languages, the company remains immensely proud of its South Tyneside roots - and thrilled by its Business Awards success.

Chief operating officer, Paul Fellows, whose company also picked up the Most Innovative Business award said: "I was incredibly surprised but obviously delighted that we won the Business of the Year award. South Tyneside has a thriving business community, not least in One Trinity Green where we are based. I'm very proud of what we have achieved. The future looks bright and we remain committed to our presence in the borough."

PHG, based within South Tyneside's new PS5.4m One Trinity Green centre, operates in the multi-billion pound performance marketing industry where one website receives a commission for referring sales to another.
