AMBLE Tavern cemented top spot in Division One with their third win in a row.

They defeated Bedlington Barrington Arms 4-2 thanks to goals from Liam Brooks (2), Matty Graham and Brett Robertson.

Barrington's strikes were scored by Rob Eastway and Shaun Cowell.

Ashington RAOB edged out The Wharton 2-1 thanks to efforts from Mark Race and Christopher Willis. The Wharton reply came from Joe Moscrop.

Ashington Conchie top Division Two on goal difference as they recorded a 6-2 victory over The Elephant courtesy of braces from Michael Freathy, Lee Sparrow and Kevin Orkney.

On target for The Elephant were Sean Hudson and Joel Henderson.

Just behind Ashington are East Chevington, who maintained their 100% start by running out 3-0 victors against Amble Blue Bell with strikes from Adam Shanks, Peter Godfrey and Darren Smith.

North End Trap recovered from being 2-0 down at half-time against HMP Northumberland to record a fine 4-2 victory. …
