The "Hard Luck Truck," promoting "Hard Luck," the latest book in the popular "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series, which hits stores in two weeks, is in town. Get free goodies and an introductory peek from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Bookmark, 220 First St., Neptune Beach; from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, at Books-A-Million, 9400 Atlantic Blvd., and from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Book Nook, 1620 University Blvd. From 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, it will be at G.J. Ford Bookshop, 600 Sea Island Road, St. Simons Island, Ga. Note: Author Jeff Kinney will not be aboard.


Sailor Melanie Neale will discuss her book "Boat Girl: A Memoir of Youth, Love, & Fiberglass" at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Friends of the Ponte Vedra Library's Book Talk Caf at the library, 101 Library Blvd. (off A1A, south of Solana Road). Free and open to all.a
