NESTLED in a village and surrounded by one and three quarter acres of its own land, this week's Dream Home is a stylish haven of peace and tranquility - just ask its owners.

For it was its location set in the North York Moors with countryside right on the doorstep that first caught their eye about Angulon House - and they've loved it ever since.

You'll find the fivebedroomed detached bungalow in the village of Faceby, close to Stokesley, and it really does offer the best of both worlds when it comes to contemporary living and a country location.

The family who live there moved in two years ago and they've refurbished and renovated to turn their home into a real stylish space. The unusual name is a real talking point too - they understand the house was named by its original owner who was a scientist involved in working with photographic lenses.

"It was built in the 1970s and we understand it was built by a guy who gave it the name Angulon House," explains the owner.

"It is an unusual name. "We've been here for two years. It is in the National Park which we really liked - it's a lovely village between Carlton and Swainby, we've got lovely walks and a little bit of privacy too.

"We have totally refurbished the house since we moved in," he adds. "It is bigger than you think, too."

DREAM " Inside, there's a reception hall, a games room and a snug and then it is onto the 23ft by 14ft lounge. In here you'll find big picture windows that overlook the grounds of the house, there's a feature fireplace which adds a real focal point to the room and wooden ceiling beams.The kitchen diner is another stunning space and alongside the lounge, is one of the owner's favourite areas in the house. HOME In association L shaped, they have extended the room to transform it into a contemporary family-sized space. Fitted with cool, cream units it has space for a large oven and there's a central island with breakfast bar, plenty of space for a dining table and French doors which open the space up to the outside. …
