IN?FORM Amble Tavern made it four wins out of four in Division One.

They top the table thanks to a 5-1 success over Stobswood, Sean Taylor grabbing a hat-trick.

Amble's other scorers were Ali Turvey and Calvin Flanighan, Stobswood's goal courtesy of Steffan Tweddle.

Two Division One teams were in NFA Sunday Cup action - with mixed results.

Bedlington Barrington Arms faced a tricky tie at champions Blakelaw and were knocked out 3-1. The Barrington gave a good account of themselves, though, and led 1-0 at half-time thanks to Ross Dixon - but they just could not see the game out.

Ashington RAOB, however, did progress as they defeated Hexham Phoenix 7-1 after extra time. A RAOB took the lead on 70 minutes as Shaun Gibson made no mistake from the spot but with three minutes to go Hexham equalised through Stephen Marsdra - forcing the game into extra time.

The Buffs regained the advantage early on in extra time through Ben Harmison and never looked back as further strikes from Mark Race, Liam Burton, Kristopher Willis, Stephen Harmison and a second from Gibson rounded off a good day. …
