Taking on Tough Jobs; Mr Reach It Takes on Small and Difficult Chores

IN STARTING a new business, James Naumann knows that there's no joy in being a shrinking violet.

Since launching household chore business Mr Reach It two months ago, Mr Naumann said every aspect of his marketing had to say "look at me''.

The business takes care of out of reach household chores, like changing lightbulbs, cleaning ceiling mould spots and fan cleaning -- jobs that would be too small for tradespeople to take on.

Mr Naumann said getting the business to stick in people's minds was the biggest challenge in such a niche service.

"There is a huge population in Toowoomba, and there would be many people who I believe would love to use my service, but the difficulty is actually finding and targeting those specific people," he said.

"I have a small work van decked out in advertising signage which is great at attracting people's attention in the street, a small advertisement campaign . …
