A MAN asked his ex-girlfriend "how does it feel to be raped" after forcing her to have sex with him, a court heard.

A terrifying three-hour ordeal began with "acts of violence and degradation" at the woman's Middlemount home and ended with a car trip to what she thought was her grave before he was arrested.

He was distraught over their break-up and angry because she slept with another man. So he broke into her home on April 29 last year while she was out, then told her he'd heard about the incident on social media and suggested he spend the night, the District Court in Mackay heard yesterday. She said yes.

It began about 1.30am on April 30. He grabbed her around the throat and squeezed her neck with his hands while yelling abuse like "you're a dirty, filthy (expletive)", crown prosecutor Brendan Manttan said.

He slammed her head against a cupboard, flicked a cigarette at her and threatened her with a 15cm shard of broken glass. …
