Moss Rolls to Tweed

THE Moss Rocket has left the station.

Grafton Ghosts speedster and Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League winger of the year Joel Moss is leaving to play for Tweed Heads Seagulls and will link with the flock next month.

It has been a sensational year for the specialist winger, amassing 29 tries.

"This is the best club I've ever played for," Moss said.

"I thought about the move for a very long time.

"I'm spewing to be leaving but I'm looking forward to the new challenge."

The Seagulls first approached Moss after their shock loss at Byron Bay a few months ago, and regular meetings with head coach Aaron Zimmerle convinced Moss it was the way to go.

"Aaron rang me after that to have a bit of a chat about next year. He ended up ringing me every week or two and I went up there about four times," he said.

Tweed Heads were not the only team on Moss' radar, with rival Queensland Cup team Burleigh Bears also expressing an interest. …
