WEATHER: It appears we are set for another weekend of summer-like conditions with more warm temperatures along with moderate northerly winds.

These winds will blow at around 10 to 15 knots from the N/NW in the mornings before increasing up to 15 to 20 knots from the N/NE in the afternoons.

Sunshine will be the norm yet again this weekend and do not be surprised if the temperatures reach the very high 20s and touch on 30 degrees - great beach weather.

SWIMMING: Choppy ocean conditions will be the norm across this weekend as the dreaded northerly winds settle in with us.

Swimmers can also expect side currents to push along most beaches from left to right this weekend because of these moderate northerly winds and associated choppy seas.

High tides are due around mid to late afternoon across the weekend, so the best swimming conditions will be found either early in the early morning or from mid to late afternoon.

Beaches that offer protection from the northerly winds will also be preferred - Kelly's Beach and Elliott Heads are two that will offer this protection. …
