Motorcyclists represented 16.7 per cent of all road fatalities during 2011, according to Department of Transport and Main Roads figures.

The greatest number of fatalities involving motorbikes occurred within inner regional areas such as Rockhampton.

In these areas, motorcycles were involved in 33% of fatalities.

In Queensland, 47 motorcycle riders were involved in crashes which resulted in 46 deaths.

The most common contributing factor in crashes involving motorcycle riders is speed.

JODI Lenz's death has left a gaping hole in the close-knit community of Westwood.

With a population of a little more than 250 people, Ms Lenz's death has come as a huge shock to the community, and her family.

Ms Lenz died less than three days after Glenlee man Daniel Smith-Hooker, 37, died as he came off his motorbike and slid under an oncoming minivan at Mt Archer, Rockhampton. …
