Ecco Ripley the Way of the Future; Work Begins on Building Master-Planned Community That Will Make City Proud

DEVELOPMENT of the Ripley Valley's first residential community, Ecco Ripley, is officially under way, with the works started to upgrade Ripley Rd.

Sekisui House representatives joined Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale yesterday to inspect the works being done by Civil Contractors.

Sekisui House project director Craig D'Costa said it meant Ecco Ripley was on track to "deliver a great community to Ripley Valley".

He said the road upgrade would be finished in October then work was scheduled to start on the first residential stage, consisting of about 100 homes and 3ha of recreational parkland.

The first residents are expected to move in late next year.

Mayor Pisasale said Ecco Ripley was a great example of the development south-east Queensland needed to manage population growth.

"We've worked very hard with Sekisui House to master plan this community," Cr Pisasale said.

"We made a vow many years ago with Sekisui House that we didn't want to subdivide land, we wanted to create a community and today I want to thank Sekisui House for honouring that promise. …
