THE decision to uproot himself from Bundaberg and move to the Sunshine Coast could soon pay off for the Bribie Island Sea Eagles' Rueben Baillie.

The club's coaching staff did well to contain their excitement when the agile second rower -- or powerfully built centre, depending on how you look at things -- landed on their doorstep midway through the season.

He has been one of the side's leading contributors and is now knocking on the door of an Intrust Super Cup debut.

He shifted to the Coast in order to advance his playing career and have a crack at making Queensland Cup.

He came to the Coast along with mate Tien Nguyen, who himself has been strong in the outside backs for the Sea Eagles in the Caloundra RSL Cup.

He earnt rave reviews after earning a spot in the Central Division representative side following the 47th Battalion Carnival in May.
