Power's Depth to Be Tested against ATW

BAY Power coach Joey Johnstone has challenged his fringe players to make the most of their opportunity against Across The Waves at Keith Dunne Oval today.

With top liners Josh Crowder and Nathan Lambert not expected to be back from injury until next round, and Ashley Jenkins a 50-50 chance of playing today, Johnstone said the lesser lights would be the players to snap its two-game losing streak.

With a 3-8 win-loss record and sitting equal third on the AFL Wide Bay ladder, the Power will be aiming to pull off a big upset over the Eagles, who have strung together two straight wins.

The Power was the last team to beat the Eagles, but since that win its form has slumped, falling to Brothers and the Bombers.

Johnstone said injuries have revealed the true depth of the Power's talent pool.

"We don't have the depth we need at the moment and we still can not field a side no where near what's required," he said. …
