LOCAL GPs have taken responsibility for commissioning a wide range of health services across Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland.

Our new GP-led Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will be making sure that people living in the area have access to the high quality healthcare they need.

NHS South Tees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is an organisation made up of members from 49 GP Practices working together to commission services for local people. Improving the health of local people by designing new and effective ways of delivering healthcare can't be done in isolation which is why we are is working hard to develop relationships with local partners. Working together with mental health and hospital trusts, local authorities and the voluntary sector will help us as we strive to meet the health needs of the local population. We aim to do this by designing and delivering modern and innovative services as close as possible to where people live.

We will be looking to commission high quality services and will be ensuring that these services are clinically effective, excellent value, patient friendly and safe. …
