TYLER Hope-Stanton could not be there to care for her son in the final moments of his short life, but she wants to thank those who were.

Jayden Daniels, 20, died last month.

While his official cause of death was heart failure, he ultimately succumbed to Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a disease which affects all major muscles including the heart.

Jayden had lived with the condition all his life.

Ms Hope-Stanton moved to Mackay last year with her work as a parademic while her son remained at Mooloolaba. She had hoped he would join her, but he never got the chance.

When Jayden was rushed to hospital complaining of chest pains, Coast paramedics worked to revive him for 40minutes.

While they could have given him up for dead and moved on to the next job, they cared enough to try to save his life.

Ms Hope-Stanton said she a simple message for those that tried so long and hard to re-start her son's heart - thank you. …
