A WOMAN who allegedly spat in the face of a police officer has been granted bail after appearing in Dalby Magistrates Court.

Dalby police shift supervisor Sergeant Sean Relf said police were called to a dispute at an Osler St home in Meandarra at 9.05pm Wednesday.

Sgt Relf said officers were trying to detain a woman.

"This female person has then spat in the face of the police officer," Sgt Relf said.

He said the officer would undergo disease testing.

Denise Lorraine Flemming, 43, faced court yesterday charged with serious assault of a police officer, two counts of assault or obstruct a police officer and public nuisance.

She was granted bail to reappear in court at a later date.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old woman has also been released from custody on bail after a spitting incident involving Warwick detectives.

A Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch spokesman said officers had executed a search warrant on a River Terrace home Wednesday morning. …
