Bound for Big Time; Young Ben Already Kicking the Right Goals for Pro Career

IF MAKING his debut at the A-grade level of Aussie rules at 15-years-old is not impressive enough, Ben Dempsey and his family are now looking at moving to the Sunshine Coast to further his career.

Already Ben has been included in a future talent program for the Gold Coast Suns and has played eight matches for Gladstone Mudcrabs top side.

The Dempsey family is keen to improve on that resume and enrol Ben at Mountain Creek High School to build on the experience he has earned playing for his club, the Capricornia sides and Kookaburras.

"We have looked at it for about the last year but the last month it has been really on the cards," Ben said.

The move has been a more prominent proposition since the debut in the A-grade competition, with a lot of knowledgeable Aussie rules heads telling Ben and his parents that the age competition that he also plays in is much too easy.

"There were a few A-graders watching my team on the weekends and they said it was too easy for me," Ben said. …
