Eye-Catching Remy Grabs the Headlines; Toon Loan Star Stands out from the Rest, Says Pardew

ALAN PARDEW admits that he can do little to prevent Loic Remy catching the attention of others as long as he continues to excel in a Newcastle United shirt.

The Magpies paid a PS2m loan fee for Remy in the summer, and an additional fee of PS6m in either January or the end of the season has also been mooted.

Remy's market value is understood to be around the PS10m mark.

He is contracted to Queens Park Rangers until 2017, and the Londoners are still in the box seat when it comes to his future.

Remy's loan with Newcastle expires on May 31, and the French international striker - who is now preparing for France's World Cup play-off with Ukraine - has played down all talk of his next move when asked by the media in recent weeks.

The seven-goal star says he just wants to enjoy his football and Pardew knows he will continue to attract more interest the longer his goal rush goes on. …
