When did you start playing: 2008.

What made you want to start playing basketball: My friends.

What do you enjoy most about basketball: Fancy shots and passing.

Who is your favourite basketball player/team: Rajon Rondo/Boston Celtics.

ANOTHER Coffs Harbour basketball junior is going on to excel on the big stage.

Kristy Wallace, who won a NSW state title with the under-12s Coffs Suns in 2007, is now playing basketball for Australia.

At the moment, Kristy is in Hungary touring with the Australian Institute of Sport Rising Stars.

This outstanding young side is coached by Brendan Joyce, the head coach of the Australian Opals.

This year she has also been selected in the U19s Gems to play in the Women's Pacific Championship in New Zealand.

This competition will be at the end of November.

For those unfamiliar with some of Kristy's achievements, in 2012 she represented Australia on two occasions. …
