CONSISTENCY was all Nigel Freemantle and Ken List needed to take out the E&A Eaves Shield. The pair followed up their first round score of 77 with a second round 69 to win the shield which is in its 40th year.

The Saturday winners were Ian Wood and Glen Warne with a good score of 75 from trophy donor Craig Backer and Ian Harth on 77. In third place also on 77 were Harry Law and Phil Sommerfeld.

In the ladies division it was great to see Betty Wentzel win the Single Stroke on Saturday. Betty's 72 net was good enough to win by two shots from Pam Robinson, Maureen Freemantle and Myra Bayntun on 74.

On Sunday, we hosted our annual junior carnival and the juniors produced some fine scores in all divisions.

Jacob Boyce took out the Boys Division with a two-over par 72 from Brayden Best on 74.

Kate Law won the girls division with a three-over par 75. Other Maryborough winners were Isaac Sommerfeld (Division 2 Boys gross), Anniston Chappell (net girl winner) and Ethan Garland (6-hole Boy net winner). …
