MACKAY is mourning the loss of a beautiful little boy, Korbin Fahy, whose life was tragically cut short after he was attacked by a dog.

Hundreds of messages of support have been flowing to the three-year-old's family and friends via a group on Facebook, Prayers for Korbin and donations, where he has been described as an angel and a brave little boy who was always smiling.

The Facebook group was set up at the weekend after Korbin was taken to Townsville Hospital, where he remained in a critical condition until yesterday.

It is believed Korbin was at his grandparents' house when he was bitten on the neck by a German shepherd dog about 6.45pm Saturday in a yard in Grant St.

A Mackay Regional Council spokesman confirmed the dog was euthanised yesterday.

"Your little angel has touched many lives across Australia," one person wrote on Facebook. "God bless your little chicken."

"Korbin the most beautiful little boy in God's loving arms," another wrote. …
