HARRISON Harber is on a quest for waterskiing success.

From graduating high school to vying for a position in an international waterski event, 17-year-old Harber is among the action.

The Cathedral College student will wave goodbye to 12 years of schooling at his formal next Thursday before pursuing a career in waterskiing and architecture.

Harber, who has his heart set on contesting the 2014 Moomba Masters International Invitational Championships, recently competed at the Helidon Splash 4 Cash L-class event where he won the under-17 division with a score of three at 13m.

Harber said the event was all part of his plan to earn an invite to Moomba.

"I'm focused on making the Moomba Masters competition, but you have to get pretty high scores," Harber said.

"You have to ski into 12 meters and I've been doing that, but the selectors don't look at the regional competitions as much as the L-class contests. …
