IT DOESN'T get much better than Casa Di Natura at Mapleton.

The all-natural day spa is a perfect example of making the most of natural assets -- it is set on three hectares and surrounded by bushland, rainforest and its own waterfall.

Director Sue Broughton has owned the property for about eight years. She knocked down what was a holiday house and turned into the day spa.

"I've been a massage therapist off and on for 35 years. I had just finished working on construction full-time and we wanted to live here,'' Ms Broughton said.

"This was an investment initially but eventually we thought why not set up a day spa how we want it?"

The spa includes an infrared sauna, which helps bring out more toxins and fatty acids.

"This results in a much deeper and more concentrated sweat, generally around three times as much as that experienced in a traditional sauna," Ms Broughton said.

Casa Di Natura is also home to one of two public places in Australia with a magnesium pool. …
