WE all love a bit of rest and relaxation when we can get it, but even on our holidays, it can be difficult to switch off and get away from it all.

Cruise holidays are unsurprisingly on the rise, and why wouldn't they be? Who would cringe at lazing around on a luxurious boat, cruising along the beautiful ocean for a week, as staff cater to every need, while you can eat and drink until you explode?

Princess Cruises has sailed the shores of Australia for more than 10 years with two full-time ships - the Sea Princess and the Dawn Princess, as well as the Sun Princess and Diamond Princess.

More than 694,000 Australians jumped on a ship for a cruise holidaylast year, and that number is only expected to be larger this year.

A cruise is also the perfect place to indulge. About 40% of Princess cruisers are first-time visitors to the onboard Lotus Spa. They have decided to take advantage of their relaxing holiday to pamper themselves.

Princess statistics show that passengers book on average two spa treatments per holiday, with some booking one every day.
