THREE years after sailing the world, Jessica Watson is still inspiring young people to reach for the stars.

But the solo sailor admits she still struggles with the idea of being a role model -- and being in public demand, especially before her morning coffee.

The 20-year-old, who defied the critics to conquer her own childhood fears of the water, delighted Coast business leaders this week with tales from her seven months at sea.

Jessica revealed that despite travelling 23,000 nautical miles, she managed to land just one fish.

And while she was more than ready for pirates, she wouldn't have minded an encounter with the Johnny Depp variety.

Jessica is not so happy to see lemon fresh detergent, though, after watching it run down the walls of Ella's Pink Lady as the boat was tossed upside down in a fierce storm. …
