MOVING to Sydney to pursue his acting career was made that little bit easier for Tai Hara thanks to his beloved car "Kenny Wintson".

The 23-year-old, originally from the Gold Coast, plays bad boy Andy Barrett on popular Aussie soap Home and Away.

Andy and Josh, the Barrett brothers, clashed with the well-established River Boys when they arrived in Summer Bay.

Hara's Andy continues to cause friction on the show. It's his biggest role since hosting Telstra's call-in game show Cash Call.

Hara also had a two-episode guest role on Steven Spielberg's Gold Coast-filmed sci-fi series Terra Nova.

"Life as an actor is pretty good at the moment," he said.

"It's a privilege to be a part of such a much-loved show."

What are you driving now, and what do you love and hate about it?

I rock a Hyundai Tucson Highlander and his name is Kenny Winston. I just love Kenny, he's the best. He's helped me move a lot of times and move a lot of friends. He's always good for road trips. There's nothing I dislike about him.

What was your first car?

Kenny was my first car so he's still in action. We'll see how long that lasts for. I think we're going to have a long relationship. Sydney's been new for Kenny. He was used to Queensland. He's had a few taps here and there.

What cars did your family have while you were growing up?
