Land Sales Soaring at Pelican Waters

THE demand for land is on the rise. Just like the increased interest in residential properties on the Sunshine Coast land sales have lifted.

Fine weather, affordability and a favourable economic outlook have combined to produce one of the most dynamic periods of land sales in recent memory for leading developer Pelican Waters. Both waterfront and dry home sites are in demand at the master-planned residential community, with only a handful of lots remaining for sale in the current stages.

Pelican Waters' newest release of dry lots located in the estate's peaceful southern precinct has been eagerly embraced by buyers with all but five of the 19 available home sites snapped up within days of them going on sale.

In addition, the last two remaining ready-built new homes in the precinct have also recently sold. General manager of development for Pelican Waters, Hamish Pressland, said affordability, variety, location and Pelican Waters' renowned commitment to quality was behind the strong buyer interest.

Historically low interest rates, a return to good weather, an optimistic economic outlook and a pipeline of exciting infrastructure projects for the Sunshine Coast region were also creating a resurgence in interest for quality land, according to Mr Pressland.

"There is little doubt the market is warming. Our stock is selling as quickly as it can be released at present with approximately 35sales for a combined figure of just over $12million across the Pelican Waters community in the last four weeks alone," he said.

"We have been observing a gradual upward shift in confidence from those looking for land over the past few months, but the over the last couple of weeks the confidence levels have certainly ramped up and with that so too the sales volumes."

With prices that started from just $219,000 and with lot sizes ranging from 376sqm up to 800sqm, the newest Pelican Waters release is just a scenic stroll from the proposed new town centre, existing shops and tavern. …
